[edit] This is a mess

The article is a mess and should be completely rewritten. It absolutely needs to be NPOVed. I don't like SN either, but this should be a serious enciclopedia article. Nevertheless, the average Romanian citizen would call him the greatest Romanian director.

The sentence 'Bizarrely and without explanation, Nicolaescu appears in most of his films on horseback, traversing the fields of the Romanian countryside in full gallop.' for instance is really funny, but it is vandalism.

We should keep the critical structure, including the ideas about autoerotic, nationalist films, including communist past (court artist) and politics. Maybe someone else can help with this article. - AdamSmithee 10:07, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

I removed some of the vandalism, but you can contribute as well. --Orioane 12:01, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

I think it is much improved. However, I find the following sentence incomprehensible: "His series of thrillers is for much in the interest Romanians pay to this historical period." I cannot understand this even well enough to edit it. Can someone clarify? Or should we just remove? - Jmabel | Talk 02:39, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Me neither, even translating each word in Romanian it deosn't make sense. I propose deleting it, it doesn't seem to say nothing. Mihai -talk 09:07, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
I deleted the sentence before seeing your discussion... Anyway, you seem to agree, so... :-) AdamSmithee 10:09, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Un Comisar Abuzǎ"

"Un Comisar Abuzǎ" (A Police Inspector Abuses) due to the depiction of the Securitate's notoriously violent modus operandi) that take place in Romania between the World Wars" The correct word is "Siguranta"... This part is a joke ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.106.71.170 (talk • contribs) 3 June 2006.

Looks like this has now been removed, though if the joke is citable it probably would be worth mentioning. - Jmabel | Talk 19:58, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
