Servan Keondjian

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 1993, Servan Keondjian co-founded RenderMorphics, a company specialising in cutting-edge 3D graphics technologies. RenderMorphics rapidly became a world leader in its field with the widely acclaimed RealityLab technology. Microsoft bought RenderMorphics in 1995 with the aim of incorporating the RealityLab technology into Windows.

Servan subsequently headed up the DirectX 3D team at Microsoft responsible for integrating 3D graphics into Windows (Direct3D). Servan also served as a consultant for game houses (including Lucasarts) and graphics hardware vendors, but left Microsoft to start up Qube Software Ltd, with the mission to develop the component technologies required to realise the 3D potential of the Internet.

Servan's latest project is Earthsim, an online, PC based, product that combines elements from TV documentaries and 3D games to deliver "learning entertainment".
