Sergio Valente (brand)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sergio Valente is an American clothing brand best known for juniors' and womens' designer jeans and a pioneering use[citation needed] of stretch-denim fabrics. It is owned by the privately held Seattle Pacific Industries Inc., founded in 1981, which additionally owns the Reunion and Saltaire menswear brands and the Unionbay teen-clothing brand. While a number of notable individuals are named "Sergio Valente", the brand is not named after, nor was ever run by, a real person of that name.
Seattle Pacific Industries is based in Kent, Washington, near Seattle. Sergio Valente has fashion showrooms in New York City, New York, and Los Angeles, California. The brand dates to 1975, and was relaunched by Seattle Pacific in the 1990s.
Its jeans are sold the United States, the UK and Japan.
Seattle Pacific's president in 2004 was Steve Ritchey.[1]
