Sergi Barjuán

Sergi, full name Sergi Barjuán Esclusa, (born December 28, 1971 in Barcelona, Catalonia) was a Spanish football (soccer) left back, who played for FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid in the Spanish Liga.

Sergi spent most of his career with Barcelona, debuting with Barça's first team in 1993. He won three Liga titles and one Cup Winners' Cup with the club.

He moved to Atlético Madrid in 2002, playing for the Madrid club for 2 seasons, before finally retiring at the end of the 2004-2005 season.

In 12 seasons Sergi played in 352 top flight games, scoring 6 goals.

For Spain, Sergi was capped 56 times after making his 1994 debut, scoring one goal. He played for his country at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Euro 96, the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and Euro 2000.
