Sergei Rublevsky

Sergei Rublevsky (born 15 October 1974) is a Russian chess grandmaster. He became champion of the prestigious Open Aeroflot in 2004, and he became the Russian chess champion after winning brilliantly and unexpectedly the Russian SuperFinal in Moscow (18-30 December, 2005), one point clear from Dmitry Jakovenko and Alexander Morozevich. In October 2006, he was 23rd on the FIDE list with an Elo Rating of 2688. He defeated Garry Kasparov in İzmir in 2004 (moves given in Algebraic chess notation):
