Seqouyah Middle School, "Home of the Braves", is located in Doraville, Georgia and part of the DeKalb County School System. It is an extremely ethnically diverse school.

Originally a high school, Seqouyah Middle School was formed in 1964. The school itself was built on grounds that were meeting places for Sequoyah Tribes. In 1989 it became a junior high school, and then again in 1996 it became a middle school.
[edit] Academic Achievements
Seqouyah's reading bowl team has won first place for the fifth time in 2006 in the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl, a system-wide DeKalb County competition,. The team members were the first State Champions in 2004.
