No. They're different things. Seperation of powers is the triad of Legislature, Executive and Judiciary, whereas the Balance of power has a different layout. Scalene•UserPage•Talk•Contributions•Biography•Є• 05:15, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Maybe. The "Separation of powers" article has a much narrower focus, only covering Montesquieu's branches of government. If the two articles are to merge, the "Separation of powers" article would have to be broadened. matturn 07:35, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
