Separating axis theorem

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For objects lying in the plane (2-space), the Separating Axis Theorem states that one can put a line between two convex shapes if and only if they are not intersecting. For objects in 3-space, the Separating Axis Theorem states that two convex shapes can be separated by a plane if and only if they are not intersecting.
