Separate reality

Separate Reality is a legendary, short rock climbing route located in Yosemite National Park, California, USA. First ascended by Ron Kauk in 1978, the 40 m, 5.12a climb trademark is a 6m roof split by a hand crack through which you can see the sky.

It was first free soloed by German climbing legend Wolfgang Güllich in 1986. The second soloing was performed 2005 by Austrian Heinz Zak, who was the photographer of the famous Güllich solo in this route. And the third soloing by American climber Dean Potter in 2006.
