Seocho-gu is a gu of Seoul, South Korea. It is a ritzy, upper-class ward located in the southeast of the city. It is served by Seoul Subway Line 2, Seoul Subway Line 3, and Seoul Subway Line 7. Headquarters of Samsung Group are located in Seocho-dong in Seocho-gu, near Gangnam Station. It is also the location of the infamous Sampoong Department Store collapse of 1995.
