[edit] Image use

Hi Sendreplyfwd. Thanks for your work at Haileybury, Melbourne, it looks like a fine article. I need to ask about some image copyright issues about, well probably all the images you've uploaded for this article. You seem to have said that the images can be used for any purpose, but you also say "Property of Haileybury College Melbourne, Used with permission.". Unfortunately there is no confirmation that the copyright holder (presumably the school) has given permission for the images to be used, but the statement you have used about permission causes another problem. Images used 'with permission' are speedily deleteable under WP:CSD#I3. These images need to be released (and this needs to be verifiable by people like me) under a copyright licence which is compatible with Wikipedia's copyright policy - for example the GFDL or the public domain. So, I'd like to ask that you clarify why you think the school has released these images under a compatible copyright licence, and clarify what you mean by 'with permission'. Otherwise we default to the position that the school retains the copyright in the images, and they will be deleted. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 13:12, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
