The Senegalese Democratic Party (French: Parti Démocratique Sénégalais) is a political party in Senegal. The party considers itself a liberal party and is member of the Liberal International. Abdoulaye Wade, Senegal's president, comes from the party as well as the prime minister, Macky Sall. It rules in a coalition with smaller parties. At the last legislative elections, 29 April 2001, the party was the major part of the Coalition Sopi, that won 49.6 % of the popular vote and 89 out of 120 seats.
PDS was founded in 1974.
