Seneca V
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Piper PA-34-220T Seneca V is a large six place, high performance, twin engine aircraft.
The Seneca V is manufactured by Piper Aircraft in the United States of America.
The Seneca V is equipped with two turbo-charged, 220 HP Continental engines which give it a service ceiling of 25,000ft above sea level. These powerful engines, combined with the Seneca V's superior flight dynamics, also allow it to take off in less than 1,200ft of runway and climb at almost 1500 feet per minute and give it a maximum range of 812 miles at 10,000ft.[citation needed] In addition to its high level of performance, the Seneca V's docile flight dynamics and ease of use make for an easy transition to the aircraft for any pilot with a twin-engine rating.[citation needed]
These qualities, among others, make the Seneca V an excellent cross country flying aircraft.[citation needed] For instance, its turbo-charged engines, allow the Seneca V to operate at up to 16,500ft with only one functioning engine. the Seneca V also features a very modern and well equipped cockpit with full instrumentation allowing for IFR and low visibility operation.[citation needed] All of this makes the Seneca V a much safer aircraft to operate over open water, or in the mountains.[citation needed]
