This Geoffrey of Yale http://www.rostau.org.uk/Nefertum/NefertumChapelIntroduction.htm says that Sokar is Orion. Therefore, i propose that Ptah-Sokar-Osiris means Crossing of Orion the reborn one. What that means is that Orion sets with the sun many days until it rises up reborn, the datein the middle is the cross date they then calculate and celebrate success in calculating it. This was done with Ptah as Mars, because as shown in Akkad/Sumer the planet Mars was called Damuzi when it rose up as a Leader and yet it had a tau (crossing) while dead, later named Tamuz (Tau-Damuzi). That they calculated crossings other than Ptah as Mars, is proven by the 70 days of Anubis (Canis-Sothis), dying May 8 at Memphis and rising July 17 its ptah was day 35 of 70, June 12. This ptah of Anubis is impportant because its the middle date of all latitudes; the 60 day absence of Sothis at Thebes will set 30 days before June 12 and rise 30 days after June 12. Likewise the ptah of every star determined what dates the stars rise for each city on the whole Earth.
Now will someone who does astronomy and/or math prove this to the idiots of Wikipedia before AnonMoos or another editor psycho tries to rule over this donated material. The head of the board of Wikipedia should be shamed and disgraced to even claim that Wikipedia gets better AS MORE MATERIAL IS FREELY DONATED TO EDUCATE THE WORLD. It's a lie, the editors step in like the CHURCH to rule in power.
Additional info on Sokar, especially king Unas of Sokar (Sokarra). The LXX Genesis places the death of Peleg as the same year that the Papyrus Canon places death of Unas, in year 768. And Sokar and Anubis are both gods of death. However in short Genesis this Peleg (and Unas) died in year 340 and they die before anyone else in the world dies; all previous generations are not yet old enough to die. Now THAT would be a global cause to make dozens of death gods and beleifs as to what is happening to scare us around the world with sudden short lives.
