Sekolah Pelita Harapan (SPH) is a co-educational K3-12 Christian school in Indonesia. The school has three main campuses in Lippo Karawaci, Bukit Sentul, and Cikarang and two other campuses in Pluit and Pondok Indah. The Lippo Karawaci campus is one hour west of Jakarta.

SPH was established in 1993 by the Pelita Harapan Education Foundation with the opening of the Karawaci Campus. SPH is the first school in Indonesia to offer international education to Indonesian students^{[attribution needed]} and is the first school in Indonesia to be fully accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).^{[attribution needed]} SPH - Bukit Sentul is the first school in Indonesia to be authorized for all 3 IBO's Programs - the PYP, MYP, and DP. The Lippo Cikarang campus has just recently been authorized for IB Diploma programme in December 2005.^{[citation needed]}

All SPH campuses are accredited by the Council of International Schools, and established as IBO World School as well as CIS and ECIS.

[edit] SPH Karawaci

As the first of many Pelita Harapan schools, the SPH Karawaci has always been the flagship of the SPH namesake^{[citation needed]}. Opened in 1993, it is located in Lippo Karawaci township, located west of Jakarta. Covering over 11 hectares of land, the school has been equipped with wireless internet access in addition to e-learning program that is currently being implemented. Perhaps the most prominent landmark of the school is the clock tower, which houses the main lobby as well as the founders suite and a four sided clock. The campus houses two swimming pools (one olympic standard), six laboratories as well as two chapels. Sporting facilities include two gymnasiums, five basketball courts and two softball fields. A redeveloped integrated outdoor activity area which include a jogging track, six soccer fields and a softball field is recently opened with the state-of-the-art automatic watering system.

The three main computer laboratories named Senior School Computer Centre have undergone a complete renovation. All of its computers have now been installed with the latest security and access system, which have been developed and tested for the last two years. Two science laboratories have recently been designed. SPH Karawaci is proud to be among one firsts in Indonesia to own a Design Technology and Food Technology laboratories. The two underground theatres is currently being renovated to be fitted with the latest seating and sound technology.

As part of Information Technology implementation in school, the Student Council recently launched Indonesia's first and only e-council system. Year 2007 will see another breakthrough with the introduction of a world-class event, currently named 'project 15'. A track record of success in both academical and sporting feats can be easily recognized.^{[citation needed]} Furthermore, the school has long been known for its Performing Arts Department through world-class drama productions (including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and most recently, the Sound of Music) as well as its choir and orchestra team in forming the Twilight Youth Orchestra and Karawaci Community Choir and Orchestra.

Over the last two years, SPH Karawaci have been selecting a specific theme for each academic year. Previous themes include Gifted by Grace and Shine like Stars. This year's theme is Passion for Compassion. SPH have been progressively introduce its new logo in various publications which is to be launched in 2008.

[edit] SPH Bukit Sentul

SPH Bukit Sentul was opened for the first time on July 25, 1994. It was the second SPH campus to be opened, following the Lippo Karawaci campus that was opened earlier. The campus is located about 40 minutes south of Jakarta and only 5 minutes from Bogor. SPH Bukit Sentul is also the only SPH school that provides a boarding house for the students. The boarding house is called Pelita Harapan House, or PHH. As mentioned, SPH Bukit Sentul is the first school in Indonesia to be fully authorized for all 3 IB programs. For students who elect for a less rigorous program, SPH Bukit Sentul also offers Indonesian National Programs (IPA-IPS) to grade 11 and 12 students.

The Sentul campus is equipped with an Internet-enabled Wireless LAN service that covers most of the school's area. Internet access using Wi-Fi-enabled laptops or PDAs are available to students. The internet access are also available within the boarding house. Besides offering Wireless access, the school also provide computers connected to the internet through wired networks.

SPH Bukit Sentul also has its student council. The student council bears their own name - 'Scophs' (Student Council of Pelita Harapan Sentul). The student council members - which can consist of any students from grade 7 to 11 - are elected by the students of SPH Bukit Sentul. The leader, however is chosen from the grade 11 students. New elections are held at every school year.

SPH Bukit Sentul is aiming to be Indonesia's first school to implement Apple's 1-to-1 Learning Initiative. The initiative is planned to be fully implemented in academic year 2006, however testings will start in early January 2007.
