Sekolah Menengah Damansara Utama (SMK Damanasara Utama / Damansara Utama High School / SMKDU / SMDU) is a secondary school situated in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It was established in 1989 and started out equipped with only 2 blocks, 11 classrooms and a total population of 424 students.
There are two schooling sessions : morning and afternoon. The afternoon sessions are for students in Form 1 and 2 (Juniors) and the morning sessions are for students in form 3 to 5 (Seniors). By January of 2007, the school's enrolment has grown into a population of 1496 students, 43 classrooms and a total number of 99 staffs[academically and non-academically].
Over the years this school has brought up students who excelled academically and is also known for building a strong name in co-curicular activities. It is worth noting that this school has produced a disproportionately large number of high-flying academicians relative to its size and status as a public school. Many of its alumni have gone to pursue an exemplary education in internationally renowned universities such as Harvard, Stanford, the University of Warwick, King's College London, Imperial College London and so forth.
