Sekharipuram is a village in the Palakkad district of Kerala state in India.

It is widely believed that this village was the first settlement of Tamil Iyers in Kerala. King Sekharavarma Raja who was on throne at that time invited the Tamil Iyer community from Mayavaram, Kumbakonam of Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu state to perform poojas and other Hindu vedic rituals to maintain sanathana dharma. The name Sekharipuram is derived from the name of the king.


Sekharipuram village consists of 5 streets and 5 Temples; the streets are Double Street, Palamettu Street, Kavu Street, Mettu Street and Palla Street. The main deities of the village are Bhumi Nila Sametha Sree Lakshminarayana Perumal and Santhi Durga Parameswari (Kavu) temple. Other temples include Ganapathy temple, Sree Dharma Sastha temple and Siva temple.
