Seiji Ozawa was a Japanese conducter. He suprised his family alot when he proclaimed he wanted to play the piano instead of a japanese instrument. He started at a young age, and became very talented, but he broke his finger and had to quit playing for several months. During this time, Owaza conducted orchestras. He found that he enjoyed this alot, so he swithched to being a conducter, even though his finger was healed. He is famous for his interpretation of late romance works. - written by Dr McCormick
