Sedusa (Powerpuff Girls)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sedusa is a character and villainess from the animated series The Powerpuff Girls. She dresses in lingerie, and uses her feminine charms to entice people—usually men—to achieve her own ends. She even disguises herself as the Mayor's assistant, Sara Bellum, and seduces him. In the episode, Mommy Fearest, her alter ego was Ima Goodelady, a woman claiming to be the new mother of the three Powerpuff Girls. But, despite appearances, she was actually very hateful and abusive. She forbids the Girls from using their powers in the house, then later puts them to bed rather early. Once the girls get into bed, she takes away Bubbles' favorite doll, Octi; Sedusa then tells Bubbles that "growing girls don't play with stupid dolls", thus causing Bubbles' eyes to well up with tears. However, Ima shows nothing but hatred, and she kills the lights and slams the door shortly thereafter.
Afterwards, they are called into action; this results in the girls coming home and being reprimanded by Ima, who grounds them for their insolence. Her master plan is later revealed to be as follows: seduce the Professor, forbid the girls from using their powers, and steal the Mayor's jewels from his high-security safe. After her identity is revealed by the girls, they convince the Professor of her true identity and intentions, and she is immediately arrested and taken to prison.
Sedusa, in all her glory, has made several other appearances since, both speaking and silent. One of her biggest (literally) was in "Aspirations", where she hires the Gangreen Gang as her orderlies to steal several Egyptian artifacts that will grant her ultimate power! Among these items, she requires a necklace/choker and a tiara. The tiara is later revealed to be the source of all the artifacts' power—shut down the tiara, and all the items become useless, including the tiara itself. During this appearance, Sedusa's hair becomes live snakes, just like Medusa's.
