[edit] when??

I have not read the whole article but I would expect that I can find in the first part when this plan was used, now I have no idea, by following the May 13 incident link (which also should have a year attached to it) I understand that this is a plan in effect in the 1960'ish. I would update the article if I could easily find this info but I can not. Stefan 02:49, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

I accidentally omitted that when I refactored the intro. Restored it back now. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (Be eudaimonic!) 03:37, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Defining Muslims vs Malay vs Bumiputra

I believe there is some distinction in these terms, although the real point I want to make is that this article appears to have no focus on Islam/Muslims in Malaysia. It is a difficult topic to understand, but I do not believe one can fully consider the meaning of this article sans a discussion of the Islamic Government and the overlapping definitions of Muslim/Malay/Bumiputra. I also do not see a reference to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's key text, "The Malay Dilemma (1970)", that attempts to define/discuss Bumiputra/Malays using analogies to Native Americans in the US. —This unsigned comment was added by 71.193.42.0 (talkcontribs) .

This is an article about the economic policy, not about peripheral issues such as these. We have other articles for those. Johnleemk | Talk 15:02, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
