Security of Information Act

[edit] Security of Information Act

The Security of Information Act is a supplementary act to the Canadian Criminal Code which prohibits various acts of crime, including, but not necessarily limited to:

Forgery
Economic Espionage
Impersonation
Protection of Classified Information
Communications with Foreign Entities or Terrorist Groups
Preparatory Acts
Foreign-influenced (Or Terrorist-influenced) Threats and Violence
Harbouring and Concealing
Conspiracy, Coups, and Attempts etc.

The various articles of this act dictates the punishments for the violation of the above offenses.

This act applies in particular to military personnels, government officials, and anyone who may be involved with work requiring clearance above the level of Confidential.
