Secret Agent Man (TV series)

This article is about a 2000s TV series and shouldn't be confused with the 1960s series Danger Man, which aired in the United States under the title Secret Agent.

Secret Agent Man was a short-lived spy-fi television series that aired on UPN in 2000.

The series starred Costas Mandylor as Monk, a galavanting secret agent, one of a team of agents that included Holliday (Dina Meyer) and Davis (Dondre Whitfield). The series followed their missions. (All the lead characters were named after famous jazz musicians.)

The series used an updated version of the 1960s hit song "Secret Agent Man" for its theme; since this song was also used as the theme for the 1960s British TV series Danger Man (which aired in the U.S. as Secret Agent, hence the theme song), there were some mistaken impressions that this series was somehow a revival of the earlier program, but other than the theme song, no connection was made evident.

Only 12 episodes were broadcast before the series was cancelled.
