The term "secular holiday" is perhaps an unintentional oxymoron. Mattbrundage 14:00, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

while "holiday" was derived from "holy day" it isnt "holy day" any more. It carries its own meaning, and thus it is an appropriate term.Some thing 01:32, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Should "Jesus Day" really be considered a secular holiday?

I think so, as the holiday pays no recognition to jesus as a deity, but rather as a man of good deeds.Some thing 01:38, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
