Sebastian Romero is an Argentinan professional footballer current playing for Greek side Panathinaikos. Romero is 1.78m tall and right-footed, can play as a left or right midfielder or as an attacking midfielder.

He joined them from Racing Club for 1.5 million dollars the summer of 2006. The former Gimnasia player first came to prominence as a key member of Argentina's victorious 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship team in Malaysia.

Romero has played for clubs in Argentina, Spain, France and Greece. He started his career at Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata before moving to Europe to play for Real Betis, Toulouse FC, and Córdoba CF.

In 2002 Romero returned to Argentina to play for Racing Club, he played 4 seasons for Racing before leaving Argentina again, this time to play for Panathinaikos.
