[edit] Move Request
For future reference, when making a move request (as you did on Pearl and Hermes Reef), the request should not actually be put on the article page. Not a problem though that you did it incorrectly; it's easily fixable and has been fixed. I also voted on your move request in Talk:Pearl and Hermes Reef. joturner 05:26, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Schooley's Mountain
Properly speaking, we should really have two articles: one at Schooley's Mountain discussing the mountain ridge from Hampton to Stanhope, and one at Schooley's Mountain, New Jersey discussing the town on the ridge. Do you think you could subdivide the current information between the two articles? If you can do that, I'll fill in the templates, disambiguation links, and so forth appropriate for the two articles. Choess 16:45, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, the reason edit histories need to be preserved is so that all content can be identified with an author, for GFDL purposes. Since all content on both pages is clearly identified with your authorship, I don't think it's worth involving an admin. Choess 23:43, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shawangunk categorization
Hi Sean. I reverted your addition of Category:Mountain ranges of the United States to that article. Category:Mountain ranges of New York is already included as a subcategory to that one, and it's generally Wikipedia policy to not have an article in both a category and its own subcategory.
I know you meant well. Glad to have you here and looking forward to what you can do. Daniel Case 05:32, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandals
WP:AIV may also be useful to know about. Read the guidelines at the top; there are several different places for reporting abuse, depending on the situation. Choess 04:10, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Collateral damage
Based on User:151.198.226.100's claim that you are collateral damage to the blocking of that IP, the unblock request was granted. Please review the situation and, if the claim was a fraudulent one, let me know as soon as possible so that the block can be reimposed. Thanks. --Nlu (talk) 17:24, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please use edit summaries
I noticed you made an edit to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism with no edit summary. Many people have this page on their watchlists, so edit summaries are all they see when it comes up. This makes such summaries even more important the usual. Please use them in the future. Thanks for your work on Wikipedia in any case. JesseW, the juggling janitor 19:16, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
I appreciate the plenary indulgence. If you need to know some trivia about iron mines or railroads in New Jersey, always feel free to drop me a line. Choess 21:18, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] French Frigate Shoals
I was interested in your edits to this page regarding Whale Skate Island. It might interest you to know that the island was once two islands (Whale and Skate respectively) and the island puts in periodic appearances and dissaperences (much like Dissapearing, in fact). Earlier this year enough of it was popping out for turtles to haul out on, but it's gone again at the moment. Sabine's Sunbird talk 06:08, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:VolcanoCricket.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:VolcanoCricket.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 23:06, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I have seen some others…
Yeah, I've been editing since late 2004. I think that my edit count is about 2,500-3,000. From what I know, Ricky Zacharias has a Wikipedia account and so does Ajay Tungare (senior, Quizbowl captain). Wait, how did you find me anyway? Geoking66 02:37, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
I also have a Wikipedia account and am a student at Pingry. Mrzubrow Matthew R. Zubrow 04:43, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Zubrow
I've commented. I found it on Max Horlbeck's facebook so I knew about the problem. I might talk to Matt about it, because what he (and/or his dad) is doing is wrong and unprofession in any sense. Geoking66 23:43, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
I, Matthew Zubrow, would like to apologize to the entire Wikipedia Community on behalf of my actions in resubmitting the article on my father. It was wrong of me to do so and I can assure you that this will not happen again.
Although I cannot submit an article on Barry L. Zubrow, I have made a request that someone else create it because he is well-known and is a worthy candidate for a Wikipedia article. Mrzubrow 1:43, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Sean, I appreciate it. I was wondering if maybe you wanna come over later this week. I've now moved into my new house, so call me back at my new number; I will e-mail it to you.
I can't find the article request I put in a couple day ago at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Other categorization schemes. Do you think someone deleted it?
Does DMG413 have a right to delete my article request? I don't think that's very fair. Mrzubrow 23:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm determined and I don't give up easily. Once I have my mind set on something, I do my best to complete it. I know I can't write the article myself, but I don't see anything wrong w/ recommending that someone else does.
But I do agree with you, there isn't much left for me to do. I should focus on other articles: I just hope it wasn't me that made it look like an advertisement... though I think it was partly my fault. Maybe writing for Wikipedia just isn't what I'm cut out to do in life. Mrzubrow 03:56, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Finale Printmusic Screenshot1.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Finale Printmusic Screenshot1.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Article Request
Sean, even if User:DMg413 thinks the request is stupid (which it's not), that still does not give him the right to take such a malicious course of action. Deleting a post that does not violate any statute established by Wikipedia is considered vandalism. Because he is not an administrator, he does not have the authority to take such arbitrary actions against my simple request.
Furthermore, I fail to comprehend why its such a "stupid" and unfair request to create an article on this person. I understand your comment on this request that pointed out that there was a deleted artcle on that topic. However, the main reason why the article on my father was deleted in the first place was due to a conflict of interest. However, because I will not be writing the article, this argument is rendered irrelevent. Finlly, during the deletion process, the administrater claimed that my father does not have enough notoriety to warrant an article. Though this article was proved false not only by myself (citing numerous, credible sources with info on him) but the popular opinion of the Wikipedia community. Many users acknowledged that my father deserves an article because he holds considerable notability.
Therefore, I think it is fair for me to request that an article be produced on Barry L. Zubrow and wrong of User:DMG413 to delete this recourse. Considering the previously stated evidence, if it pleases the court, I rest my case. Thank you. Mrzubrow 04:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for all your helpful suggestions and advice in this. It is really a very tedious process. Mrzubrow 16:44, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Your comments aren't annoying; they are actually quite helpful because I am still a relatively new member on Wikipedia. I am always interested in whatever useful comments you may have.
