Hello and welcome to my userpage, I am — Seadog but please feel free to call me by my name. I am an aspiring Guitarist and a Krishna bhakti. I have a strong passion for Music and its many wonders, I play the electric Guitar but also the Piano. On the Piano I play mainly classical such as, Beethoven, J S Bach, Chopin, and Debussy. On the guitar I play mainly blues such as, Stevie Ray Vaughanmy hero, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman and of course The left handed player of the right hand Strat.
On another note I am a, vegetarian and your average philomath. I also have a love for meditation, artwork, poetry, epics and Classic American literature. My favorite author however is George Orwell and book is his 1984 (novel). But the book I have to thank and praise the most is the Bhagavad Gita — this is for personal reasons that I can not explain in words.

We all have a philosophy on wikipedia, this is a very natural part of contributing here. The following pieces below are a list of my own personal thoughts, opinions. These of course are not official wikipedia guidelines — they are are

I honestly believe that Wikipedia might as well be the best website ever. I know some will scoff at this notion but honestly think about it — many, many different nationality's and people come together to create an expand human knowledge — regardless of religion, race, political ideology and age. I don't think that every one here realizes that but it is the honest truth. I have seen so much good here it is unbelievable, people helping out others in their time of need — I could list names here but it would go on forever. I am sure some of you know what I am talking about. Other good things of wikipedia are the many featured articles, the featured lists and even the good articles. Also the community here is very strong and this helps make this place a saner, happier and over all more enjoyable place to be. This is what wikipedia is and what it needs to be.
We all know our opposites, heavy and light, hot and cold, day and night, good and evil, light and darkness and etc. So if there is an obvious good of wikipedia there is a hidden evil of wikipedia. The bad of wikipedia is actually quite large — the countless hours of vandalism reverting, the cruel edit wars, Spam removal, countless unreferenced articles, long and heated wars created by trolls, large and heated debates between editors, countless and obvious biting and the list goes on. But this will always be overshadowed by wikipedia's greatness. I understand that the bad might never go away but if every body works together it will be destroyed and we shall live in harmony forever. I am currently not an administrator but I would like to become one, this means that as of right now I can not, delete articles, block users, protect and semi-protect pages nor can edit protected pages. Also I am not a Bureaucrat but would like to become one, this means that I can not, change usernames, flag or un-flag bots, or change the rights of a user (admin promotion). I would also like to become part of the Arbitration Commitee. |

Here is my personal essay on civility, On wikipedia over time I have been praised for my civility by many different editors and I hope to maintain this quality.
Over time I have seen wikipedians act uncivilly to others not only vandals but the editors. This is somewhat backtracking if you understand what I am saying. Imagine if a vandal acts uncivilly to a user — but than that user rather than trying to calm down starts acting uncivilly to the vandal. Ask your self what has been accomplished in this? Nothing, and this is not helping anything.
This is why I am a member of Concordia, even though it is not active anymore I still try to uphold their values. I also I hard working vandal-fighter, I use many different tools and tactics to do so — such as Lupin's anti-vandal tool and his popups to revert and cruise around this place, the guy basically is a genius. Also I have a certain strategy on fighting vandalism, which is somewhat simple but it helps me and a friend of mine who I have shared this philosophy. I can not stand vandalism at all, in fact I find is sickening and very, very childish but I prefer to Assume good faith about it. I am a frequent visitor to the Administrators intervention against vandalism some days reporting several vandals.
I am also a new page and short page patrol man, vandals be afraid, very afraid.
When it comes to warning vandals I do so frequently. This is very quick and easy and it doesn't happen as much as it should. During a recent study I have done 95% of the vandals I warned with a {{subst:test1}} stopped after that warning. In my opinion this is what needs to happen, but of course there are those blatant vandals who actually enjoy vandalizing wikipedia, those vandals need to be dealt with in a proper manner.

My work here
On Wikipedia I am an editor — yes I understand that that is very, very basic but that is the basis of this project. I understand that the most important tool available too all (except for some) is the edit this page button. While we may sometimes forget, this tool is the most important, for us all and for the world. If I lose sight of this tool or if I start believing otherwise I will leave.
I am a member of several wiki-projects, I am an active member in the Hinduism project and active in the Guitarist project. If you have any requests or questions about any one of these projects please let me know.
Also I am a member in Esperanza and in Concordia, while these projects are somewhat falling apart I am still true to there values. If you have a questions on these projects please let me know.
But aside from work — I have earned many, many Awards but what is even better than awards are friends I've made. Also please feel free to check out and edit my Quotes page which many different editors have put together.
