All information in the article is now sourced, so I removed the not verified tag. I had to remove the following information as I could not verify:
One problem with Google Search Appliance is that it can only search content that it is specifically authorized to search and therefore, if the search appliance is not properly configured, it can miss a large amount, or even all, of the data it is supposed to be indexing.
