Seas of Blood is a single player roleplaying book, written by Andrew Chapman and illustrated by Bob Harvey, originally published in 1985. The book is part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series, numbered 16 in the original Puffin printing. As is standard for the series it is divided into 400 sections, and the final section forms the only successful conclusion to the story.
In this book, the reader takes on the role of the captain of the pirate vessel Banshee. The story begins with a contest between the reader and his or her most powerful rival pirate, Abdul the Butcher. Each will take a ship across the sea to the isle of Nippur. Whoever makes it to the destination within the fifty day time limit with the most gold will be declared King of Pirates. And so the journey begins...
