Sean Parker-Perry

Sean Parker-Perry (born 26 June 1975) is a train driver. He is also a Labour Party Councillor for Longdendale, England.
Along with fellow Longdendale Councillor, Roy Oldham, he is in favour of the Longdendale Bypass.
He stood trial for theft in 2005, although he was later acquitted.[1] He now works as Parliamentary Political Operative to James Purnell Member of Parliament (MP) for Stalybridge. He is married to the daughter of the former Stalybridge MP Lord Pendry, and was at one stage touted as a future Mayor of Tameside.[2]
Councillor Parker-Perry is the chair of Longdendale & Hattersley District Assembly [3] and has recently authorised environmental improvement works in Hollingworth, Broadbottom, Mottram and Hattersley[4].
He is also founder of Active-Longdendale - an environmental improvement volunteer group that has recently cleared invasive himalayan balsam [5] from Lymefield Country Park and cleared the Victorian pond at etherow Lodge Park, Hollingworth[citation needed].
He is also Vice-Chair of Governors at Pinfold Primary school including responsibility for Eco-Council and Science Governor at Arundale Primary School [6].
Councillor Parker-Perry is also a member of the Joint Management Committee of Werneth Low Country Park where he was Chair of the committee in 2003. [7]
In November 2005 in an article in the Tameside Advertiser[8], Councillor Parker-Perry successfully applied for first residential wind turbine in Tameside at his home in Hyde, although he now lives in Broadbottom.
