Sean Muttaqi created the hardcore punk bands Vegan Reich, Captive Nation Rising and Pressure. He also pioneered the hardline lifestyle. He founded Uprising Records of Los Angeles, California in 1994. Sean converted to Shia Islam some time in the 1990s, changed his name to Shahid 'Ali Muttaqi and founded the groups Ahl-i Allah (People of Allah, or God) and the Taliyah al-Mahdi (Vanguard of the Mahdi).
