Sean Connor

Sean Connor (b. 1967) is the current manager of the Irish football (soccer) club Bohemian FC. He is a native of Belfast.

He was appointed Sligo Rovers manager in September 2004. He has an impressive track record that includes coaching posts in England and in the USA, front-line commercial experience with Birmingham City, as well as a broad CV of playing experience both in Ireland and England. In November 2005 he won the 1st Division in his first season of senior management with Sligo.

Connors resigned from Sligo Rovers on 2 November 2006 and was unveiled as the manager of Bohemian FC on 17 November 2006. Amongst his first acts as manager were the signing of a number of promising players, Harpal Singh (ex-Sligo), Owen Heary (ex-Shels), Neal Fenn (ex-Cork City) and Glen Crowe (ex-Shels). His first pre-season games in charge of Bohemians' included wins against Lisburn Distillery and Donegal Celtic, and an impressive draw with Scottish Premier Division side Aberdeen.

His first league game in charge of Bohs came on the 9th March 2007, in a scoreless draw against Drogheda United. His second league game was a one nil defeat away to Bray Wanderers. In a game which saw Bohs play extraordinarily poor football (the ball was in the air more times than in a Gaelic Football match) many supporters fear now that he is another bad appointment by the Bohs board and wonder why they did not hang on for Pat Fenlon at the close of last season.
