Seaboard group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The SeaBoard Group is a telecommunications research and consulting firm with operations in Montreal and Toronto, Canada.
The firm has stoked debate around the state of competition in the Canadian telecommunications market with its published reports. One example is a report published in July 2005 called Lessons for Canada - A Cross-National survey of Wireless Pricing.
SeaBoard concluded that Canadians pay 60% more than cellphone users in the United States.
SeaBoard was founded by Iain Grant in 1986. The firm owned the Yankee Group in Canada franchise rights for 10 years. SeaBoard and Yankee parted ways in 2001.
