Sežana (Italian: Sesana) is a town and a municipality in the Karst region of Slovenia. Population 11,842 (2002).

There are many Slovenian factories in the city, like Mitol, Jadran, Kras, Kraški zidar, etc. and a lot of smaller enterprises.

In the nearness of the city is situated world famous (400 years old) studfarm Lipica with the considerable number of turists. There are two hotels in Lipica, in the city there are also two hotels and a motel, which are meant for tourists, businessmen and transit guests. Sezana is situated in a central point between Ljubljana, Triest and the Adriatic coast, and for this reason so many tourists and organized groups sleep in the town's hotels and during the day take the trips in the varied directions (Lipica, Caves of Postojna, Skocjanske jame, Kras (Carst), Stanjel, Ljubljana, Trieste, Adriatic sea...). Of course so many things can be also seen in the city: the famous botanic park, the memorial room of poet Srecko Kosovel, the walk through the forest study way Tabor, the study way of the natural and cultural inheritance of the city, the march through the memorial way of Srecko Kosovel from Sezana to Tomaj etc..
