Sde Uziyahu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sde Uziyahu (Hebrew: שדה עוזיהו‎) is a moshav in the South District of Israel, located near the city of Ashdod. It belongs to the Beer Tuvia Regional Council.

Sde Uziyahu (meaning Field of Uziyahu) was founded in 1950 by Jewish immigrants from Lybia and named after Uzziah of Judah (Uziyahu in Hebrew), who, according to the Bible, built cities in the current location of the moshav.
