Sde Nitzan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moshav Sde Nitzan (lit. Field of Flowers) located near Beersheba in the Northern Negev. Now a major producer of roses for export to America, the moshav was established shortly after the Six-Day War by the grandson of the Yiddish author I.L. Peretzin an attempt to attract English-speaking settlers, particularly from America.[1] The Moshav initially concentrated on growing tomatoes, although floriculture has become increasingly important to the Moshav's economy.
