Wilfried Erdmann (* 04-15 1940 in Pommern) is a German single hand sailor and author.

Erdmann circumnavigated the world as the first German in 1968.

After that, a circumnavigational sailing trip together with his wife Astrid and a extensive trip through Polynesia and their son Kym.

Von 1984 bis 1985 segelte er nonstop alleine um die Welt in West-Ost Richung. Die Reise dauerte 271 Tage. Von 2000 bis 2001 segelte er nonstop und alleine in Ost-West Richtung gegen die vorherrschenden Windrichtungen um die Erde. Diese Fahrt dauerte 343 Tage. Erdmann, der in einem kleinen Dorf an der Schlei lebt, ist Autor zahlreicher Bücher, die z.T. Bestsellerstatus erreichten.
