Talk:Scrip of Edo period Japan

Should this be moved to hansatsu? Nik42 09:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- I call it hansatsu but named the article "Scrip of Edo period Japan" with Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Use English words in mind. There is, of course, the term "Edo" in the title but I guess it's more widely understood than hansatsu. What's your feeling? Fg2 10:59, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- I also prefer the English term because it's more inclusive. There are a variety of topics touched upon here (which I may expand upon if I ever feel like it and get around to it) which are not covered under hansatsu. Of course, I don't think that the term "scrip" is really all that common and obvious to the average reader, either... but that's besides the point. It is more accurate and appropriate than "money" or "paper money", so, it's fine with me. LordAmeth 19:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
