Scrooge

Scrooge is the surname of Ebenezer Scrooge, the selfish and miserly protagonist of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. "Scrooge" has since come into general usage as a term for any person who is stingy, antisocial, or lacking in "Christmas spirit."
