Screen on the Green

Screen on the Green is an annual summertime event in Atlanta's Piedmont Park and in Washington DC (on the National Mall). Turner Classic Movies hosts the Atlanta dates, and HBO hosts the Washington dates. The free classic movie screenings, which are held in a large field in the park on a movie theater sized portable screen are shown each Thursday night of June in Atlanta (Monday nights in July/August in Washington, DC), and start as soon as the sun has set. For the past seven years, thousands of people have attended each these events every week durring the summer.
