Scratch Live

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Scratch Live is a DJ tool created by New Zealand-based Serato Audio Research, best known for their Pro Tools plug-in Pitch N Time.

Scratch Live allows manipulation and playback of digital audio sources using traditional vinyl or CD turntables. It seeks to cross the divide between the versatility of digital audio and the tactile control of vinyl turntablism.

Serato's software works in conjunction with the SL1, an external soundcard specifically designed for the system by Rane Corporation
