When creating an article from this list, please try to provide additional information to what the person looking up the topic can be expected to already know. In general, try to start new articles with at least two or three paragraphs, or at least five sentences of main text, and put the article in at least one Category. If you are not familiar with the many Scotland-related categories, place the new article in Category:Scotland or Category:Scottish people, so that other Users can re-allocate it to appropriate sub-categories.
It is probably a very good idea to allocate a stub category to every new article, at least until one or two other editors have contributed, see the Scotland stubs section below.
Some also prefer that you provide a reference pointing to the source of the information.
