[edit] Welcome...

Welcome!!

Hello, Scouttle, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some useful pages to help you get started:

I hope you'll enjoy contributing as much as I do. When posting on discussion pages, please sign your messages. To do this, type four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

You are seeing this because in my patrols for vandalism, I saw you had edited a page. I also noticed that your talk page (this page) had a red link. That meant that the talk page didn't exist yet. I am sorry you can't eat the cookies, but they are still fresh. If you find a way to enjoy them, let me know. Will (Talk - contribs) 07:04, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tips on how to find articles that need help.

I see on your user page that you are interested in tagging pages that need help. There is a more efficient way than the Random Page link in your sidebar which is just as likely to route you to a well established page. I use Recent Changes. Once in there, you will see logs of new users and freshly uploaded images. The users need to be welcomed and the images might not have licenses or sources. Also on that page near the top under "Utilities" is a link labeled "New". If you click that, you will see a list of pages that were just created. At least half of those have some sort of problem. They might need a stub, cleanup, wikification, categories, or references. They might also need speedy deletion or someone to question notability or importance. The recent changes page can also help you fight vandalism, especially if you have something like popups or VandalProof. Will (Talk - contribs) 08:05, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
