Born in 1971 in Chicago, IL Scott Mitchell is an online media executive responsible for the creation of several significant online media companies including HSN.com, Tunes.com, RollingStone.com, and Cherish Inc. Throughout 2005 Mitchell acquired 10 online companies to build Think Partnership Inc which is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol “THK”

Mitchell has played a key leadership role in innovative technology and Internet based businesses for over a decade. Mitchell began his career as a technology consultant for Arthur Andersen, LLP and quickly moved up to become the firm’s youngest Associate Partner in its’ history. After successfully completing a $25M development project for America Online in 1997, Mitchell left Arthur Andersen to co-found Tunes.com, developing it to become the Internet’s leading music destination network including RollingStone.com, TheSource.com, and DownbeatJazz.com. After leading Tunes.com to its sale in 1999 to publicly traded EMusic.com for $180M, Mitchell began working with Barry Diller and started HSN.com, the online presence for Home Shopping Network. In less than two years, Mitchell was able to build HSN.com from nothing into a business that was realizing $250M a year in revenue and generating over $25M a year in EBITDA. In January of 2002, Mitchell began to focus his efforts on Cherish Inc., an online dating business started by him in 2000. In August of 2004, Mitchell led Cherish to a merger with Think Partnership, where he is currently the President of ThinkPartnership and the CEO of Cherish (Think’s online dating subsidiary).

Mitchell began college at a very young age, skipping high school and going straight from middle school to university. By the time Mitchell was 21 years old, he received three masters degrees and two bachelor degrees. Mitchell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Illinois State University in Normal, IL as well as a Masters of Business Administration, a Masters of Computer Science, and a Masters of Management and Organizational Development from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.

Mitchell is best known for playing a significant role in building considerable online businesses. He has been referred to as being the first online “killer Dillers” -- people who Barry Diller mentored and who later became big-time media executives in their own right. Other “killer Dillers” include Michael Eisner, and Jerry Bruckheimer.

As of 2006, Mitchell lived and held an office in Tampa, FL although his company is headquartered near Chicago, IL.
