[edit] Merge from Longridge Scout Boating Centre

Proposal to merge the information in the Longridge Scout Boating Centre article as a section of the Scouting in Buckinghamshire article and redirect the original article (Support, Oppose, Comment):

  • Support - until such time as more information can be developed for the centre, I think this should be in the main article only... Horus Kol 00:40, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
  • support for the reasons Horus Kol cites. Chris 04:02, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Support merge for reasons given by Horus Kol, but it should be recreated if more information, particularly about the non-scout use, becomes available. --Bduke 11:17, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose articles are more likely to develop if they exist in stub form. --evrik (talk) 04:41, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Comment that may be true, but there isn't a lot more that can be said about this campsite - it isn't one of the historical ones, like Youlbury or Gillwell Park... Horus Kol Talk 11:44, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

It's been a week since the last input on this matter - what is the next step? Horus Kol Talk 14:39, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Oppose

Longridge has a long Scouting history that covers more than just Buckinghamshire. In fact if I remember correctly it was actually owened by a consotia of Countys (Bucks, Berks and Oxon?).

Also due to the location of the site it attracts local users from more than just Buckinghamshire.

I am sure over time the article will grow and reflect the history of this campsite for all Scouters - not just those in Bucks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.109.167.176 (talk) 13:23, 17 March 2007 (UTC).
