[edit] Marital status

In a broadcast of the victory parade here in Chicago yesterday, a commentator referred to Scott and his fiancée "Lisa *Jergan" (didn't quite catch the last name), who was sitting on the bus with him; somewhat obliquely confirming the deletion of the supposed Jessica Lobraco a few edits ago, although he could have been married before. Her name is Lisa Dergan and you can find out about her at: hes a hpeergrbbhttp://www.lisadergan.com/about.html

Aha, that explains the fake "childhood sweetheart Jessica Lobraco in an earlier edit. Googling "Podsednik Dergan" I found . . . a previous edit of Wikipedia, which had the correct information — which I've now restored. The mischievous edit inserting the mythical Ms. Lobraco (there is a high school girl by that name in suburban Chicago) we owe to User:67.184.226.111. Bill 19:17, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
Apparently there is a constituency that doesnt want Scotty to get married out there; no sooner had I reverted Ms. Dergan than someone else removed her! Bill 00:50, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] About curious records...

It is stated in the article that Podsednik was the second player to hit a home run in the postseason without hitting one during the regular season, is the other player Jesse Haines? He hit a home run in Game 3 of the 1926 World Series without hitting one during the regular season that year.

But Podsednik's has a minimum requirement of 500 at bats. Haines was a pitcher. So I don't think he had 500 at bats. There could be several that has hit home runs in playoffs and none in the playoffs. Kingjeff 06:11, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
