This is an encyclopedic entry, and I feel that discussing specific articles written by Jackson, and attempting to paraphrase his opinion is an obvious violation of our neutrality policy. Let's keep it to a biography unless someone can cite an article which has discussion of his views. At present, the stuff below was blatant POV.

He began writing for ESPN.com on March 8, 2005 with his first article being a statement of his sporting views entitled "Scoop's Manifesto" in which he stated he believes Terrel Owen's would be a national hero if he were white.

On August 23, 2005, he wrote an article entitled "Why oh why?" supporting NBA player Jermaine O'neal and his statement that the NBA age limit is racist.

On August 23, 2005, he wrote an article entitled "Silence is Golden" siting double-standards in society and stating "never be honest about your drug use".

On October 11, 2005, he wrote an article entitled "Truly Fab" discussing the cultural influence of the Michigain Fab Five, a college basketball team consisting of several NBA players who admitted accepting money from a school booster while playing for the University of Michigan.

On December 6, 2005, he wrote an article entitled "Only in America" with an analysis - as opposed to the kneejerk reactions from most middle America sports fans - of R&B Artist R.Kelly's highly criticized performance of the National Anthem at a pay per view boxing event.

On December 27, 2005, he wrote an article entitled "What Mattered Most in 2005" about the most important sports stories of the year, important elements of which were largely ignored by the mainstream media, including the deaths of two young Black men who happened to be related to professional athletes, Kevin Garnett donating money to rebuild 24 homes, and the NFL's insensitivty to the human tragedy of Hurricane Katrina.

How exactly are these biased and hateful? They are quotes from his articles. Which means they are NOT POINT OF VIEW. Then again, if you think they are biased and hateful, it is because Scoop Jackson is biased and hateful. I just quoted or paraphrased his articles. If you would like to add something, add some articles with good quotes of his, if you can find any. Any appearance or bias is entirely because Scoop Jackson is biased himself and you are wrong to remove quotes or discussions of his articles simply because you don't like them.
