Scott Taylor is the current guitarist for the Canadian political metal/punk band Inner Surge. He was a driving force in the writing of their 2006 critically acclaimed album Signals Screaming, and is currently writing material with the band for their follow up album. He cites his main influences to be Tool, the Mars Volta, Radiohead, Dillinger Escape Plan, and the Tea Party, among others. Scott joined Inner Surge in 2005 along with Bryan Sandau, who also ended up being a strong force in the writing of the album. Scott is also strongly influenced by writers such as Dean Koontz and activists such as Noam Chomsky.
