Scott Derek Severin (born 15 February 1979 in Stirling) is a Scottish professional football midfielder currently playing in the Scottish Premier League for Aberdeen. He is a relatively versatile player and has played as a defender and as a striker for Aberdeen and Hearts.
Severin started his career at Hearts before joining Aberdeen in July 2004 when his contract expired. He has played for Scotland 13 times since making his international debut against Latvia in 2001.
After a hugely successful start to his Aberdeen career, Severin was linked to English Premiership side Everton, although such speculation was rejected by Aberdeen. He signed a new, three-and-a-half year contract at Pittodrie in December 2005.
