Scott Porter is an actor who plays Jason Street in Friday Night Lights. His character was put in a wheelchair as a result of a football injury. Minka Kelly plays his once unfaithful girlfriend Lyla Garrity, and they go through ups and downs with their relationship.
Prior to joining the cast of Friday Night Lights, Porter played Matthew in the original cast of the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz. He can be heard on the show's cast recording. He also plays the role of Colin Thompson, the more visible part of the duo that fronts the fictional band PoP!, in the movie Music and Lyrics (Warner Brothers, 2007). He is scheduled to play Bobby in the remake of Prom Night (film 2008)
