Scott Perkins

Scott Perkins (1980) is an American composer, singer and choral conductor. His works have been performed in the USA and Europe. He is winner of the 2004 BMI Student Composer Award for his choral work A Word Out Of The Sea (A Child's Reminiscence). He served as music director and conductor of the choral ensemble "Kairos" in 2004 and 2005. Since 2005 he has been the assistant conductor of the Christ Church's vocal ensemble Schola Cantorum in Rochester, NY. His works include Passacaglia, Threnody and Three prayers for organ solo. His cantata Spring and all for tenor and chamber ensemble on text by William Carlos Williams was premiered by Ossia New Music in 2006.
